Maasai Mara, Kenya, November 2021
This was our 7th trip to Kenya. Working at a school near the Mukuru slum in Nairobi, we provided care for 800 people.
After our mission, we spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Sweetwaters tented camp which is on the equator. We had morning and evening wild animal safaris every day. Then we flew from a grass air strip in an Air Kenya propeller jet to the Maasai Mara and spent 3 days and 3 nights there. Once again, there were morning and afternoon safaris to experience.
We were able to see the “Big Five,” lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceros, and cape buffalo. Of course there were many birds, antelopes, giraffes, zebras, and hippopotamuses, along with many other animals.
