Welcome to VOSH-Indiana

Since early 1973, VOSH-Indiana has been taking groups of optometrists and other interested people around the world to provide vision care to people who cannot afford or obtain it. In just a week’s time, the group provides eyecare to approximately 1500 people. Whether patients need reading glasses, recycled glasses, sunglasses, or cataract surgery, patients have a new outlook on the world!

A typical VOSH-Indiana eyecare mission is one week in length.  Often tears of joy are shed upon being able to see for the first time in many years. We take for granted the eyeglasses we have to correct our vision problems. Without the glasses I wear, I would be unable to see what I do.  Would I take a pair of used eyeglasses to make my vision better? You bet I would!!! It is no wonder people begin to arrive at the worksite before dawn and patiently wait in line for hours.

Previous Missions

For over 50 years, in small villages and towns around the world, VOSH-Indiana has provided quality eye care to thousands of deserving patients. VOSH volunteers enjoy helping people where most tourists never venture.
