people waiting in line for eye exams in Honduras The primary mission of VOSH-Indiana is to facilitate the provision of eyecare worldwide to people who can neither afford nor obtain such care. VOSH-Indiana accomplishes this primary goal by planning and coordinating missions.

Services include (but are not limited to):
  • Establishing interprofessional ties with other health care professionals and groups who share similar goals;
  • Providing guidance in selecting mission countries, sites, and host organizations abroad and within the United States;
  • Publishing a newsletter and maintaining a website to communicate the pertinent information of selected mission endeavors;
  • Assisting in securing, classifying and distributing both donated glasses and essential examination equipment and vision care supplies.


VOSH-Indiana strives to be an innovator within a humanitarian and charitable structure for providing optometric services worldwide.
